Overview

cnvrtr.org is a free unit and timezone conversion tool. We do not create accounts, we do not ask for your name or email, and we do not sell data. This page explains what limited data flows through the site due to third-party services we use.

Data we collect directly

None. We don't operate a server that logs requests or stores any information about you. The site is a static collection of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript files.

One exception: your most recent conversions are saved in your browser's localStorage so the widget can display them the next time you visit. This data never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for cnvrtr.org.

Google AdSense

This site displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google uses cookies and similar technologies to show ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to cnvrtr.org and/or other sites on the internet.

You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of third-party vendor use of cookies by visiting aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu (EU visitors).

Timezone detection (ipapi.co)

On the timezone converter page, we make a request to ipapi.co to infer your timezone from your IP address. This is used solely to pre-fill the "From" city field with your local timezone. We do not store the result; if the request fails, the page falls back to your browser's built-in timezone setting.

ipapi.co receives your IP address as part of this request. Their privacy policy is available at ipapi.co/privacy.

If you prefer not to use ipapi.co, simply clear the "From" field and type your city manually — no request will be made.

Cookies

We do not set any cookies ourselves. Google AdSense may set cookies in your browser for ad personalisation and measurement purposes. See the Google AdSense section above for opt-out options.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this site, please contact us so we can remove it.
